SATURDAY NIGHTS ALRIGHT FOR DRINK'N AND ROCK'N!!

WOW,I got shitty saturday night at GUSHS! Those little budweisers mixed with FOUR KICK ASS BANDS will go to your head quickly,LET ME TELL YOU!!!! SUPERDRIVE, RUINATION,KING SNYDER AND INDIRECT THREAT on one bill at GUSHS, bravo to who ever put this show together! And to top all of these bands off like a giant cherry on a delicious sundae was JOHN RYAN (SOUND ON SOUND PROD) I just cant say enough good things about JOHN, he is above the rest,by far!
ALL RIGHT ,LETS GO, I walked into GUSHS with my sidekick HODIE about 10o'clock no charge,love that,thanks guys)the power was just coming back on(GUSHS, GOTTA LOVE IT!)and SUPERDRIVE was just starting their (short??)set. This is a seriously tight band,no question 'bout it KENNY and SHANE layin down the groove that makes SHELLY move and ERIN and J.C. layin down the grind that makes the HOUSE move.
It was a great set and a great start to what would become a very BLURY night.(i didnt hear slayer shane?!) Now its eight beers later(maybe a smoke or two)and here, to my suprise and enjoyment comes KINGSNYDER!! And let me tell you they came strong!!!! TIGHTER THAN I'VE EVER HEARD THEM,with more POWER more FURY and they showed the one thing that I honestly hav'nt seen in a long time, THEY WERE HAVING FUN!! It wasnt a zombied-out show that looked mechanical! I could see it on all of their faces, they were enjoying themselves again.
That is what i love about these guys, theyre able to bounce back. ( now before you start thinkin im being a dick,let me say this, and im not lettin any secrets out here, ok) The best moment of my night,at this awsome show, at GUSHS,was when CHRIS from KINGSNYDER came up to me backstage (you know what I mean)and told me that he's sober and drug free and plans to stay that way!!
Now, alot of you know me and know I don't smile as much as I should,Well let me tell you, those words made me smile. I consider chris,brad and all these guys my friends and im very proud of them for realizing that there was something wrong,AND doing something about IT!! YOU GUYS ROCK IN MY BOOK!!
OK, by now Im pretty BLURY and cant remember who goes on after KINGSNYDER, and then I see it, the SECOND SET OF DRUMS,sobering up a bit now;;; ITS INDIRECT THREAT!!!! HEADLINING!!!(i told you) What more can I say about these guys,TIGHT, POWERFULL,DOUBLE PERCUSION,and theyre how old?? WOW!! You read it here first,these guys should get out and tour,even if localy or regionaly,they kick ass!!! AH, THE NIGHT WAS COMPLETE!!! Got drunk,heard some kick ass bands and didnt spend much money,YEE HAW! Oh did I mention the crowd?,no?, well it was a good hearty crowd! Hopefully as the weather gets better more folks will be out at these shows.
(special note;Im sorry to say this but I didnt make it early enough to see RUINATION,but from all acounts they had a great set.I promise Ill catch a show soon guy's!
